Formally trained in NEW YORK CITY in film, photography, and fine arts, Richie’s aesthetic influences were nurtured in the Philippine Islands where she was born and raised. Not until she embarked on her world wide travels to accomplish her dreams of photo journalism was she exposed to Western influences. In NEW YORK’s famed East Village she joined the Avant Garde movement, and by the age of 20 was a part of the gritty underground scene, being exposed to film, cutting edge art and NEW YORK’S high fashion as well as in Paris and Milan.

Richie captures what is personal and enigmatic using natural light. She has a genuine enthusiasm in forming a unique  connection with the people she photographs. Richie Goodwin is currently located in Sonoma County, California where she is also raising her son.
